Nepa Bhon' has been doing business since 1993. As the name depicts, we deal in Nepalese Papers, mainly "Lokta" papers. We manufacture both the paper sheets and its products like photo albums, journals, stationary,picture frames etc.

We do both retail and wholesale. Our retail location is on 106 Macdougal St. in Greenwich Village, New York City.

Following the centuried old tradition of paper making in Nepal, the 'Lokta' paper attests to a proud heritage. Growing abundantly in the higher elevations of the Himalayan foothills, the 'Lokta' shrub is preserved and regenerated naturally under strict government guidelines. The main ingredient of our hand-made paper, the 'Lokta' shrub provides the sole income for the countless village people involved in the growing, harvesting and manufacturing of all end products.

Unique in texture and strength, the natural fibers prevent easy tearing. Resilient and versatile, this paper readily absorbs dyes thus resulting in an array of very vibrant colors. In addition, it can be re-dyed after bleaching without losing its original quality and logevity.

'Lokta' paper can be used for numerous products - from notebooks and photo albums to stationary and lampshades. We also offer a wide range of recycled papers and products. In addition, the dimensions and thickness of the individual sheets can be varied.
